(Looking for a different day? Try the master list!)
Compiled from: NSK's postings for makuuchi, juryo, makushita, sandanme, jonidan and jonokuchi; NSK's absence list, NSK's tournament leader list and NSK's Day 11 program in Japanese.
There are 143 bouts listed on the schedule today. It's an odd-numbered day which means the east side is first on the schedule and first to get called.
There's a covid outbreak in progress in Grand Sumo! Entire stables are going kyujo due to covid at the rate of one a day, and this includes gyoji, shimpan and yobidashi as well as rikishi. Some withdrawals are announced mid-day, making this schedule and even the official schedule are a best-case-scenario guide only.
Stables who have withdrawn mid-tournament so far:
Breaking news: Sadogatake and Tamanoi sekitori are now showing as absent on the NSK absence list.
Specific kyujo details have been moved down to the top of the appendices.
Some fans expect the tournament to be cancelled early as an emergency measure. This is what the NSK said they'd do in 2020 if any competing rikishi was found to be infected with covid. No tournament has been cancelled midway during the pandemic as of yet.
Check NSK's tournament leader list for details.
Division leaders are highlighted in bold. Leading scores in lower divisions are 5-0, and sekitori leaders are now on 8-2. All of the unsalaried rikishi co-leading their divisions are in tiebreaker matches today, with jonidan leader Tochihayate up against sandanme leader Shinohara.
There's no tiebreaker matches in the upper divisions, though 8-2 Tobizaru is being fed to 7-3 Takakeisho today.
Jonokuchi's sole leader is Takahashi from Nishonoseki stable. Juryo's sole leader I'd rather not mention by name - he wrestles for Takadagawa stable (the same stable as the current Shikimori Inosuke) and his shikona rhymes with Spew-den.
Despite there being 6 less bouts scheduled than yesterday, we're still doing a 9:35am start. Ok then...

Yobidashi Rikinojo gets a much-needed rest. Or do we get a rest from Rikinojo? Either way..

We have the same shimpan as May 2022!
Members of this senior group join up with other shimpan groups to act as head shimpan after the juryo ring entrance ceremony & intermission.
Yobidashi prior to the juryo-ranked yobidashi (Soichi) aren't listed on the daily program.
I record non-sekitori yobidashi after Jin on the program as the day goes on, then I update this file with predictions once the schedule locks in.
Fan favourite Shintaro did not appear during the first four days of the tournament!
The official program only lists sekitori yobidashi from Soichi onwards. Even after their match-calling shifts, these youngsters work throughout the day as attendants.
There's a gallery of yobidashi headshots with bios at Heyaaz - it's missing Jin because he debuted during 2022.
To help spot them, here's links to screencaps of the non-sekitori yobidashi, including onscreen bios in Japanese:
These yobidashi are listed on the Japanese schedule due to being ranked as juryo, makuuchi or sanyaku yobidashi.
