Compiled from: NSK's postings for makuuchi, juryo, makushita, sandanme, jonidan and jonokuchi; NSK's absence list, NSK's tournament leaders list and NSK's Day 12 program in Japanese.

Esteemed guests, the chaos continues...

Tournament leaders

Anarchy continues to prevail...

In lower divisions, the lead scores are currently 6-0. Nobody at 6-0 is bouting today.

Reappearances

Kitanowaka's back in juryo. Yay!

Who's that shimpan (ringside judge)?

Thanks to the maintainer of this page for providing these images! Click the name of the shimpan to see what they look like. (You may need to middle-click it to open the link in a new window.)

Who's the new shimpan?

From day 12, Hatachiyama (komusubi Tochinohana) is subbing in for Futagoyama (komusubi Miyabiyama) for the remainder of the tournament. Futagoyama-oyakata appears to be unwell and we wish him a speedy recovery!

The official program lists Futagoyama (former Tochinohana) which doesn't make much sense unless Tochinohana has pinched the Futagoyama kabu off Miyabiyama, but according to the official oyakata list no such thing has happened.

Shimpan groups

Each group below has at least one shift every day. The starter group gets the rest of the day off, while the other groups do two shifts each: the first one has everyone listed below, and the second with one of their number substituted for one of the senior group. (There's a whole rota system.)

Members of this senior group also appear once a day. They substitute for a member of other shimpan groups to act as head shimpan for their repeat shifts.

Single appearahces

One ringside shift today for the whole Tatekawa group, Tanigawa, Tokitsukaze and Sendagawa.

Who's head judge? (Who's sitting where?)

For the non-sekitori shifts, the judges sit in program order and cycle around the ring from day to day. The first judge listed on the program sits in head shimpan position on days 1, 6 and 11; the second judge gets to rock the mic on days 2, 7 and 12, and so on.

On Day 12, the second member of the group is on mic as head shimpan, which makes the fourth member of the group timekeeper.

For the sekitori shifts, the senior judge is always the head judge. The seating order of the non-senior judges is different to their earlier shift though, and I haven't made detailed notes from previous days to see if there's a pattern to their sekitori seating positions.

Yobidashi info

As always, predicted appearances for yobidashi are in italics.

There's 165 matches on day 12.

The jonokuchi/jonidan yobidashi predictions on Day 11 are for newbie Jin to get 7 matches these days; Takeru, Shintaro and Yuma get 11 matches, and for Kenta, Hiroshi and Yuji in Jonidan I'll pad one of these folks compared to yesterday's roster.

If Takeru isn't up in time for Tanji v Wakamiyabi, they've changed something again.

Yobidashi images and bios

The official program only lists yobidashi from Soichi onwards. Here's links to screencaps of each yobi, including onscreen bios in Japanese: new starter Jin, Takeru, Shintaro, Yuma, Kenta, Hiroshi, Yuji, Hiromasa, Tsurutaro, Shigejiro, Shin, Naoki, Setsuo, Yuto, Kohei, Shunsuke, Mamoru, Teruya.
